Brian Barrentine is a producer, performer, and creative founder working across live music, theatre, recording, and large-scale family entertainment.

He is the creator and driving force behind FunikiJam World Music, an award-winning global family entertainment company known for its original music, immersive performances, and interactive storytelling. FunikiJam produces touring stage shows, Off-Broadway family musicals, original recordings, and long-running music programs built around original music written by Barrentine, presented across the United States and internationally.

Barrentine’s performance career runs in parallel with his work as a creator and producer. Over the course of a career that began in childhood, he has been cast in leading roles on Broadway and Off-Broadway and has performed extensively on national and international stages, including starring as Elvis in Elvis the Musical European tour. Other notable stage credits include The Fantasticks, Aladdin, and The Sound of Music. He has also appeared in national commercial campaigns and television series including The Good Wife, Madam Secretary, and Law & Order: SVU.

As a recording artist and vocalist, Barrentine has released original music and performs regularly as a solo artist. His work draws from a lifelong foundation in gospel music — beginning in church as a child and continuing to this day — alongside jazz and contemporary repertoire, presented in concert and cabaret settings. This musical sensibility informs the sound of FunikiJam’s productions, blending live performance with recorded media across stage, screen, and streaming platforms.

Today, Barrentine continues to write, record, perform, and produce new works while mentoring creative teams and collaborators — guided by the same instinct that defined his earliest projects: bringing people together through music, imagination, and shared experience.
